Organizations – Find board members
Available in the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, London, Windsor, and Vancouver
Board matching services are currently available in the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, Vancouver, Windsor, and London.
DiverseCity onBoard’s matching database is designed to connect you, the not-for-profit or charitable organization, or an agency of the municipal, provincial and federal government with screened, qualified, and trained individuals who are ready to serve in various roles on your governance boards and committees.
Our system allows you to create an organizational profile, post your board vacancies, and then generates matches based on your criteria and requirements.
More diversity equals better governance. A diverse and inclusive not-for-profit or public board has clear advantages.
A board that reflects the people it serves is more authentic and responsive to community needs. Research has also shown that diverse leadership within communities tends to improve social cohesion, enhances the sense of belonging, and ensures more civic participation, which in turn leads to healthier communities and more effective organizations.
The program has facilitated more than 700 board appointments and has a network of over 800 organizations and 1,800 individuals in the DiverseCity onBoard community. Over 1,450 board positions have been posted so far. In 2011, the program was recognized as a leader in its field with an Intercultural Innovation Award by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the BMW Group.
